been doing a lot of reading... I have a coolant leak, and not sure where it's coming from.. it's not my upper hose, but when I get under the truck, where I see the drips, it's like right under that upper hose connection on the radiator, however, I look a flask like, tried to look for anything and everything, but can't figure it out... any idea, or any other common leaks from that area.. thanks.. I have an extended warranty, but if it's something i can do for less then a 100 bucks, then I'll just do it myself.. not a fan of other people working on my truck... thanks...
look at the bracket for the vertical egr cooler at the engine block. wetnees on that bracket is an upper hose.
there is a heater hose there to leak, fuel cooler lines, fuel cooler pump, and egr cooler to egr cooler hose to leak as well as the lower hose and water pump

well good lord..alright well it's dark now, I'll try and stand on something tomorow so I can see down there, being the motor and all of it's accessories are 'stuff' in there.... I guess I'll get a handy inspection mirror, a flash light and a buddy and start feeling around... appreciate it... if it's just a hose I think I'm gonna just replace it might self instead of fighting with ford to replace it... about to cancel out my warranty that i just started... you gotta fight with them on almost anything unless it's a very common problem ya know.. thanks again..
cool deal, well I'll check it out today at work, if I got to I guess I'll rip out the wheel well to get a better look... thanks for the advice.. hopefully it's just a hose... the funny thing is, is that when I bought it, it had a moderate leak, and I tld the dealer to fix before i bought, since then I've drving home ( I'm military, home is 1500 miles roung trip) and didn't have a problem until just the other day I noticed it... it's very mild, and I bought some extra coolant front ford, cause I notice my level has dropped... and my venturie T thing is under my cold fill mark.. so i guess I have the old one? thanks for the advice..
Check the coolant level at every stop and keep it up to the full mark and you should be fine till you get it fixed. Check it every morning before start up.
I was towing my 5er to florida when mine went in North Carolina. I just kept it full till I got to florida and fixed it.

I'm not worried about it runnin dry... I live in a little town at the moment.. So I hardly drive and I don't drive to far when I do... But if the T is under the full line that means that I still have the old degas bottle correct?
Ok I also have a port that is capped off right above the fill line.. Which actually is leaking but it doesn't have coolant filled that high cause its about the full line.. But I messed with it and it did have some residual leakage come out... What's the capped off port all about? Also I think my leaks is coming from a line right under/behind the degas bottle...
Also. My theory is that since it only leaks while running, I'm building pressure in the bottle and its forcing coolant through the leak at the line under the bottle..
