Ignition Timing
Hey guys, so I have a slight problem, I'm trying to check the ignition timing on my truck but there's no numbers on the timing indicator and AllData is, surprise surprise, being useless. Could any of y'all point me to where 10 degrees BTDC is on this? I'm pretty sure each little tooth represents 2 degrees, I'm just not quite sure where to start counting from.

You are correct, just count five lines to the right of zero and it'll be 10 degrees btdc.
It should have a 20 mark on it to use as another reference.
I like to rub white chalk into the lines to make them easier to see.

You may not realize some of these engines have numbers on the piece that goes around and around(the damper) and do not have numbers on the stationary pointer piece. Some of the dampers have deep grooves in them also, one representing TDC and the other the factory setting(8, 10 or whatever).
