Stop the Squeaking!!!!

I am buying my Dad's '99 F-150 4x4 Lariat from him and this truck squeaks something terrible. I am assuming that the chasis bushings need to be replaced. I have 2 questions.

1. Am I on the right track to solve the problem?
2. How hard is the job?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

i would have someone bounce in the bed while you listen / look underneith. No need to change parts untill you know what is doing the squeek.

Squeaking from where? Front, back when turning or all the time. These trucks are notorious for loud ball joints. Just replaced my uppers & lowers made all the difference. Now I just have to get rid of a brake squeak?
