If you don't want a dually, then get the SRW F350 and buy a trailer within the specs of a F350 with 2 wheel drive. You have to be happy with your decision or it will nag you for a long time.
I've been going over the similar decision. Although my potential new 5th is not as heavy (10k-12k range, 33ft). Been getting some great advice here. I really don't need 4x4 here in Florida, but have been hearing some good reasons for it. But in the end you really only have one choice for 4x2, gear wize. So it seams if you want the 4x2 then get the 3.31's. Or, move up to 4x4 to get the 3.55's. I figure why not get the F350, it's only a bit more $$.
OK, I pulled the trigger on a new F 350 SRW, 4x2, diesel, long bed Lariat. Got it just the way I wanted it and more.
I got the ingot silver/ charcoal lower paint. Inside is the Captains chairs with console in Charcoal grey. Nav system , chrome package, Lariat special trim, they threw in the sprayed liner done in the city, they felt it was put on thicker than the factories.
Top price for my truck 99 F 250 V 10 sale to private owner was 6500. He started out at 6k then said save u the trouble and gave me 6500.00
Saved 2k because i financed it through Ford and will do it for 31 days then pay it off. It will take about 6-8 weeks to be delivered.
That you, hope so! Poor dogs are going to have to ride in the back seat! Lab won't be happy as he helps drive in the front and the husky lays down in the back and sleeps! Wife volunteerd to sit in back and lab stay in the front! Her choice! Lol
