Ok out if traffic now, got a chance to post the pics that dloomis tried to post.

Looks like the PO mounted the temp sender in the intake tube. I'm not a fan of that mod because if it isn't seating well it's a good source for unfiltered air to get to the system.

Got busy last night and kind of dropped this thread a little, but i did email Dave back and forth a few times. Here are a couple more pics he sent.

I was pretty busy last night and didn't spend the time to clarify a few things, and I want to catch up now that I have a little time. First off, I don't know if you're aware or not, but you have an aftermarket cold air intake. When installing aftermarket intakes, one of the issues is the location of the temp sensor, and those of us with the 6637 usually just locate the sensor near the firewall in a secure place. I wouldn't be concerned with that void that you pointed out, as it's just part of the factory air box.

Now, I haven't ever done the boost leak tester, but someone please verify what I told him was correct. The place to put the tester is behind the section with the CCV in the intake tube.

I'm also curious if you can get a better picture of the turbo wheel itself? With the sensor mounted where it is, and not seating well, there is potential for a lot of unfiltered air to make its way to the turbo.

Also a quick tutorial on uploading pics. I've been meaning to write this up for a while anyway. The favorite image hosting site for most of us is photobucket, but any site that gives you a direct link to the image will work.

You'll want to copy the "Direct Link" or "Image URL" to the clipboard on your computer. There are several options, and some will do bad things requiring moderator intervention to fix (ask me how i know lol). Here are the options photobucket offers

When you return to post the image, click the image button that looks like this

And paste the direct link into the box and hit ok. Depending on your web browser, it may automatically show the image, and some may show the code, which is
[ IMG ] "direct link" [ /IMG ] (without the spaces).

Once you post the message it's good practice to read through and make sure the pics or links posted as they are supposed to. If they did not, you can always edit the post by selecting edit and correcting the issue.

Now to post videos, I prefer uploading to YouTube, and then getting the YouTube link for the video (just copy the link in the browser, or hit share and copy the direct link. Type in a description of the video and highlight it

And then click the hyperlink button and paste the video link into the box. The code is a little different than the image code, but it takes care of it all. Btw, the hyperlink button is the earth with the chain looking thing.

Hope this helps, and hope I did everything right lol.
