OK here's the latest I did a buzz test this morning and it came back as follows: P1293 High Side Open Bank 1 (right) Not really sure what that means as far as checking?????
Just ran a cylinder contribution test and it read as follows: PO263,PO269,PO275,PO281 Cyl1,3,5,7 contribution or balance malfunction. The valve cover harness?
After removing the valve cover and checking the connectors twice and rerunning the buzz test. The right bank buzz's very softly, while the left bank is horns a blazin. Went to the IDM, removed the unit and did a very scientific test of the component, I shook the h_ll out of it, water in the IDM, unless there is some kind of liquid connector inside this thing. I will look into a reman, to install and hope the troubles will be solved.
Still don't have my new IDM yet so I did a little more testing on the engine harness. Trying to figure out the P1293 DTC, I checked PIN C which is supposed to have battery voltage with a KOEO situation, my readings were about 1.8 to 1.7 volts. I checked both connectors ORG wire, and same reading. Does this lead me back to a faulty IDM?????
OK a new IDM and a new UVC harness and I got a good buzz test and it started and idled great. Took it out for a drive and the first couple of miles ran like a beast. Then, some bucking, rpm flucuations, the check engine soon light on then off then on, almost felt like it was starving for fuel. Got her back to the house would idle fine then run rough, then idle would speed up, and surge. Now what am I dealing with????
