Hey guys. I'm currently running 265 50 15 F, 295 50 15 R on my truck. Im not sure what's the width of the rim, But I LOVE how the tires fit my truck. I just purchased 16 x 10 Rims, and i would like to know what would be Equivalent size to buy for my 16" rims? i want to keep it basically same setup size as the one's im currently running, but I'm not to bright in the tire department ...
Metric tires are described by width, 205, 225, 265 ect. The height of the tire is dependent on the aspect ratio, 30, 45, 70, 75 and the wheel size(wheel diameter). This makes it a wee confusing because you can have two tires of the same dimensions, just a different wheel size and the two heights will be different.
If your new wheels are the same width as the olds, you can keep the same width tire, only change the aspect ratio to keep the diameter of the tire the same, as to not affect you gearing, on a side not, a bigger wheel will affect your look, and it's hard to get a perspective until tires and wheels are bolted up.
