To be honest with you Jeff. I was using the predator 80e tune for just about all my driving, unless I was pulling the 40 ft fifth wheel. I have hauled all of our camping crap all over God's creation in that tune. I have pulled trailers with equipment on them with that tune. It didn't hurt anything, because I didn't nail it anytime I was towing or hauling. Shifts weren't ideal, but I wasn't letting it slam or slip into gear, if that makes sense.

I have tried 80e while towing, but like you said, the shifts aren't ideal. I think that's pretty much the only difference in PHPs economy/daily driver tunes and their tow tunes. I'd have to pick Cody's brain to be 100%, but I'm pretty sure. I may venture over to their forum today and see if I can get an answer from Bill.

That black autometer pod looks good in an XLT where there's already alot of black contrasting panels. Great install TXDoug. That prodigy controller is a good plan as well. If I was towing more than a 3500lb utility trailer with electric brakes, I'd do that. (boat trailer has surge brakes).

Here's my install:

I'll agree with you on the black. I did not think much about the paint. Now if my truck was as clean as yours mine would look as good.
