Can anyone tell me what the tag numbers on my transmission mean? It is a 1981 F-150 AOD.. PKB A1 056622F19E1TP AAC THANKS
Nothing much....
PKB-A1 == Model Type AOT(F10D) automatic overdrive transmission, used on F100 through 250 with a 302 in 1981 056622 == Serial Number F19 == Manufacturing (assembly) date of June 19. It's missing a one-character numerical digit in front but they did it this way sometimes on tags. Assume a 1 for 1981. E1TP AAC = Assembly (the entire transmission, including torque converter) Part Number. This tranny is obsolete and has been replaced with E2TP 7000-AA.
The above is assuming you've transcribed things correctly, Ford was pretty particular about the placement of information on the tags.
