I have a 1989 f-250,efi,throttle-body, 5.0. bought it new, now/216,000 miles. engine has been balance and blue-printed/ about 75,000 miles. runs excellent. 2 1/2" exhaust, spacer plate on the throttle-body, cold-air intake, remote-start, AC. Now, I'm trying to eliminate all the smog junk. Is there anyone got any ideas where to start? thanks

Reason: forgot something
Why are you looking to take off the smog equipment? Is something wrong with it? If it's still intact, leave it be. You'd be lucky to pick up any noticeable power from removing it.
t hanks for the help dave. A guy down the road said by letting it breathe out the back of the intake and take off the canisters, let the pump just run free.
We live @ about 4600 feet elevation out here and your always going over passes, 6-7 thousand feet and he says it helps the engine breathe better.
I also have an '05, f-150 that I've put some bolt on up-grades. thanks, mike
