Curb Weight

Guys,

Can anyone give me the normal everyday driving lightweight of a 6.7 F350 SRW and F350 DRW?

I must be blind if it's in the specs but I can't find it.

F350 SRW 18inch wheels CC 4x4 172.4 base curb @ 7,752 lbs.
F450 CC 4x4 172.4 base curb @ 8,178 lbs.

I can't find 350 DRW without pickup box delete at the moment but had F450 so somewhere under that.

However, wheel size and other various items change weight.
What you really should do if possible is get the truck weighed with what you intend to be using it for.
Example, you, any passengers, gear, full tank, etc.
The curb weight numbers grow quickly.

Thanks for the info.

One problem. I can't get the truck weighed as I don't own it yet. I'm relying on you guys to tell me what yours all weigh according to what you guys do with them on average.

I'll take that into account on wich way to buy. I am going to tow around 10K + trailer. Just trying to figure out what works best for me with what I need to buy and how I must liscense it.

That is awful light. Mine shows 4960 on the front axle and 3380 on the rear for a total of 8340 with my wife and I in it.

Is your truck gas or diesel?

Mine is usually 8200-8300 lbs when I come out of the dump and cross the scales. Depending on fuel and what ever I might have in the back seat.

My '11 F350 4x4 Crew Cab DRW everyday weight with toolbox, air ride 5th wheel hitch and fuel is about 9300 lbs. I would guess the true empty weight to be a tad over 8000 lbs.

This may be a tiny bit off your question. However, I found with my 04 F250 FX4 SB that by the time I added hitch(SuperGlide), fuel, gear, myself(that's a lot), the wife, and a 9 pound Silky Terrier I was already in trouble and I hadn't hooked on to the fifth wheel yet.

Therefor, this time around I bought the DRW and the benefits of stabilty towing the 5th wheel in the wind and weight carrying ability are fantastic. I can't say I like the looks of any DRW, but I will NOT have another SRW until the 5th wheel towing days are over.

We absolutely love the 6.7 it is a towing machine...............Good Luck!!!!

I asked this a while back and got some more responses, here's the link.

I'm still on the fence on SRW vs. DRW. My buddies dad has a 2011 4x4 CC DRW lariat thats fully loaded, going to see if I can bribe him to drag my trailer over to the cat scale and then I will know for sure what the truck and trailer each weigh, and will finally get the pin weight on the trailer since I got it all back together now.

Even the curb weight of a F250 CC 4x4 6.2L 156.2" is 6,787.
