fuel door

Was wondering if someone can advise how to remove the fuel filler door on a 1999 E150 Cargo van. I did a search on this topic but came up empty. Thanks

This door is held to the body by two threaded fasteners visible when the door is opened when refueling. Its a hinged assembly and the visible disc can't be removed separately.

At least that's the way it is on my '97, '00 & 03!

I took mine off and put on a chromed aluminum one designed for the trucks, when that fad was popular, it was straight forward, 2 bolts hold the swing bracket to the body.

Send me some reps then!

Glad that worked out for you---sometimes these things are either more or less complex than we first think. Can't recall the number of times I'd have saved myself hours and hours by just asking in advance!

I guess the simplicity of it fooled me. I had to remove the fuel door on my Dodge Caravan and had to remove everything but the engine to do it...hah!!
A rep. is headed your way. thank you
