E250 Transmission help

I recently purchased a 1998 Ext E250 for a project van. It is 5.4L with automatic. Yesterday it slipped a little going in 2nd. Today it bumped going into second and dropped back to first and will not come out. Also lost reverse. Assume it is time for a rebuild. Need help in knowing what I have exactly. Here is the info on the tag on the transmission:
54
F7UP-UA
PRA-XGA3
00006725
BD-7J12
Looks pretty straight forward to remove but I would appreciate any heads up to issue anyone may know about.
Thanks so much

It is a 4R100 transmission.

It is very straightforward to remove.

Awesome Thanks. Do you suggest having it rebuilt?

What's the difference between rebuilt and remanufactured? As far as I know the only difference between the two is spelling.

Paying someone to rebuild mine or purchasing one that has already been rebuilt. I do not know of someone in my area that I trust so I was leaning towards buying one that is ready to go. I feel like having mine rebuilt would save a little money

It pretty much comes down to price and who you trust. I can actually buy a rebuilt cheaper than having mine rebuilt. But you never know what exactly you're getting either way. The last tranny I had rebuilt I delivered 200 miles away but the guy had an excellent rep for rebuilding that particular tranny.

I don't know anyone in that part of Georgia. The nearest one to you that I know is in Ocala, FL.

Not sure if this is helpful but eBay always has a long list of rebuilt tranny's that can be shipped and cores returned in nice containers. If there's an upside to buying from that site its the feedback left by other satisfied or disgruntled buyers.

Its worth a look if someone more local and highly recommended can't be found.

Your local auto parts stores can usually get rebuilt ones. Get a price and the company then research them on the internet.
