Cool Superchip Microtuner

I just bought a Superchips Microtuner for my 99 F250 Superduty PSD. I was getting 13-15 mpg. The microtuner dramatically increased the performance, especially off the line, and now I get 15-17 MPG. But now my trip computer is saying I am getting 19 MPG in town, and 23 on the highway. Has anyone else experienced this? I am wondering if disconnecting the batteries to reset it will work, or if that will only erase the new superchip towing program. I am really happy with the microtuner, but would like to have the trip computer work right. I wonder if it is they added that feature to make people think they were getting a lot more MPG.

yah I noticed the same discrepancy on the on board puter. In fact I used to brag I was getting 24 mpg, but after plugging in all my receipts into a spreadsheet it turned out to be in the 18-20 range on Highway.

Overall the superships is great, but that is kind of anoying.

Unfortunately, there's not much that can be done. The inaccuracy is a side effect of most tuning devices. You will, however find the inaccuracy to be consistant so once you find out how far off it is you can add/subtract that number from it and alway get the right amount.
