I have read differing ideas. Should I go with the Red Eagle kit or OEM? The Red Eagle Alto kit offers the Alto Power Pack and with additional clutches. Is it worth the extra cost to do or should I avoid it?
red eagle is suppose to handle heat better so it wont fad and wear out as fast as stock. I would go with the better parts, and install a good valve body kit from Sonnex since your gonna have it all apart....
and the only difference Ive heard is that the 5.4 auto trans has smaller pinion gears and less rings then the V10 and diesel auto trans. Both are the 4R100 but the internals are just slightly different

I've been researching and decided to go with the standard kit. The Red Eagle Kit has the power pack to add more clutches and from researching around I've heard of warping problems when towing using this kit. The steels are made thinner to fit the extra clutches and under heavy loads and towing they can warp. The standard kit still has clutches and steels made by Alto.
I was looking into a Transgo or Sonnex kit but I also have a 5 Star tune and it looks like that may give me issues trying to run both.
