Hey guys, thought I would post back after having absolutely a fun first month of ownership. I have already logged 6K miles on her, crazy, but it's my job. I have pulled 5 maybe 6 trailers (form trailers, about 15K pounds loaded, this time of year). Loaded or unloaded, when I push the throttle in 2nd, 3rd gear, I feel a shudder, like transmission shudder. Hey, I know this thing throws down 800 ft. lbs. of torque, should I not be pushing it so hard? Or, what am I feeling?
My 2011 had been doing that a few months after i drove it off the lot, just before i was about to take it to the dealer i got a letter from Ford for a flash update free of charge, once the dealer completed the flash update, it never happened again. if i remember correctly some 6.7 owners who received the same letter as i, did not get the flash updat, not sure why for my truck it made a huge differance. Again mine is a 11 with a 07/10 build date. i know this may not help with your situation but just letting you know what my situation was.
No worries on the shutter, doesn't seem to have any long term effect on anything. It seems to happen when you are pulling some weight on hard acceleration. Wait till it hits 3rd before you drop it hard and problem solved. We tow a 5th wheel with 16k+ on a daily basis running 8-10k per month making it earn it's keep harder than most and we got 230k out of the transmission before we had to replace it. Transmission pulled fine right up until the end. I am sure it wasn't for our application, it would have lasted alot longer, it's a beast for sure!

She has 260k on her now, no issues with the Fuel system, DPF or any of the emmisions. They all held up fine. We run 8-10k miles per month pulling 16k+ 5th wheel.

Ok, well that makes sense. Did you get you tranny beefed up?/professionally built for what you do? I imagine that 230K is good, since you pull all the time with it. I gotta hope that the motor and tranny go at least 8 years or 400k miles.

It was bone stock, no mods, so it should be good to go for all.
