Hi Guys,
I am in need of some help. I have a 2002 F-250 with 5.4 that has 222500 miles. I had the typical exhaust leak on the passenger side, so while I had the truck on the lift to repair that I decided to do some preventive maintenance. I replaced the spark plugs, COP's, Fuel Filter, T-stat and antifreeze, plus both O2 sensors. I was getting between 12.5-13 mpg. Now i just filled up tonight in 77 miles i used 9.415 gallons.
I am driving the same way and same route to work the same way. I can't figure out what is going on.
Any help on what else to do that would bring my mileage back would be appreciated.

77 miles isn't a large enough sample to matter. Keep a total gallons running total and get an MPG average over the next 1000 miles before you start to worry.
Unless there are obvious running issues, ie you can smell raw gas in the exhaust or it's running poorly/setting codes.
agreed with last post to get a super accurate average they say to use the same gas station at the same pump every time you fill up over a longer period of time differnt driving habbits weather road conditions quality of fuel will affect your average
Where are you. is it cold? I get crappy mileage all the time but truck runs great.
As said above if it runs the same its gonna be hard to figure out..If its missing on a cyl that could be your problem but should set a code...
I'm in South Dakota so it is cold, i should of stated i just made all the repairs over the weekend and it was making the 12-13 mileage prior to making the changes, and it was much colder. I always fill up at the same station to try and keep the variables the same. I'm just concerned that the mileage took that big of change over the weekend after putting the new parts on..

There are no codes and it runs great, in fact it feels alot stronger that before.
