Hey guys i'm currently restoring a 65 f100 and my radiator support is trash however I found one relatively cheap but its off a 67 would it still work?
No, 1967 (1967/72) is a different body. There are TWO different 1967/72 F100/350 radiator supports that will not interchange with each other. So neither will work on anything 1966 and older.
1965 F100/250 2WD is the same radiator support as 1966 F100 4WD:C6TZ-16138-C = Obsolete, not reproduced.
1965 F100/250 4WD radiator support is the same as 1961/64 F100/250 2WD/4WD, 1961/66 F350/600, 1966 F250 4WD:C2TZ-16138-G = Reproduced.
So would i just be better off trying to repair it? it's not completely scrap just would take a major repair,as i'm doing what i can with each paycheck
thanks let me know-RB
I know it's been posted a thousand times, but....What exactly needs to be done for a 65 f100 4x4 rad support to accommodate a 66 f100 4x4? Is it just the radiator brackets and a hole for battery tray ?
the 65 F100 4WD as well as F250 4WD use the same support as all 61-64 F100-350 trucks 2 and 4WD. the 66 F100 4WD uses the same support as the 65 F100-250 2WD...angled fender aprons, different battery tray and different radiator mounting setup...the 65 F100 4WD has the curved fender aprons for one thing and I think the radiator mounting is different and theres no accomodation for a battery tray as all 4WD except the 66 F100 4WD has the battery monted in the carrier outboard of the passenger side frame rail under the RH floor of the cab.
