I'm going to be moving my Tekonsha P3 over from my old truck, question is, where do you guys put them? I dont think I want to drill into the dash face and the cubby is too small to allow access to the lever...
Where have you all put them and pros/cons? I have to take into account that I'll be throwing my CB in later to once I get a mirror mount antenna for it.
Thanks, I did notice the little sunken spot there and that was my first thought, I just didn't want to drill visible holes in my new truck just yet...

I'll have to look at that cubby again and see about leaving it sticking out a bit. It's not like the cubby is really all that useful for me. No issues reaching the manual control? The lever on the P3 is on the bottom...

You mean you let it hang and swing? That can't let it work very well if it's a proportional controller.
Mine is at the bottom of the dash. The PO installed it and I am very glad he didn't drill any holes in my dash! It is a far reach but after initial setting up of the brakes after hooking up a trailer I don't have to touch it again. In my last truck I had the controller in the cubby.
I don't have a good pic of it but you can see it in this pic. About the same spot as pictured above but just lower, on the bottom of the dash.
I have mine under the cubby hole like most of us here. I did drill holes to mount it there. I figure the holes are just a small sacrifice for easy access to the manual lever. If needed, you could always get a replacement panel if you want to sell the Ex in the future.
