Reshaping front leafs??

So my Truck has about an inch more sag on the right front than the left. It's really bugging me because it effects the looks real bad. I'm guessing my leafs a tired and was wondering what it would cost to have them reheated and shaped. And if it's worth it. Also, would this help with my rake problem too? It's at least 2 inches. Thanks ya'll

If you heat a spring you take the tension out of it and it is no longer a spring.

But if you are talking about rearching them, it is a waste of time and money. They just settle back after about 6 months. Just buy new springs if yours are shot

Sorry, I was talking re-arch.

1980-97 are the same. You will not want used ones though, they will moist likely be as bad as yours

Another route is to upgrade to Super Duty leaf springs with an RSK. Side effects are a 2+ lift depending on the RSK and leafs chosen, a better ride, and the need to move the front spring hanger forward for the longer springs.

Brad's got a nice build thread with pictures of both his SKY Manufacturing and Precision Metal Fab RSKs.

The problem is he has a D50TTB and you cant use s aRSK with one, you need a solid axle

Alright, whats an RSK? and if that's possible I'de like to raise my front about 2" to even it out with my front. If superduty springs are possible I'll try it.

I will say it again, you can NOT run a RSK with the TTB

Reverse Shackle Kit

so exactally why do u say u cant run it with the ttb? and i agree the normal kits that give 2+ inches of lift wont work without relocating the ttb pivot points. a kit can easily be made to only give an inch or so that would work just fine, its been done before .Also i'm pretty sure there is a guy on here that did it.
