Rough Country 2" Leveling Kit

For a beginner, not ready to do a full lift yet, is this worth trying at all?

Absolutely! Go for it...that is a great place to start!

Post pics when you are done and I'd recommend an alignment when you are done. Any time I start loosening bolts on the front end, I do it. You most likely don't need it, but it's cheap and not worth wearing tires that are as expensive as these trucks seem to eat.

So not junk then I take it? I know everyone has their favorite brands, I'm not too familiar with Rough Country, but local guy is blowing out his inventory and has for $70, so figured no harm at that price.

Its pretty hard to manufacture a bad leveling kit, its only steel and bolts. But ive heard pretty good things about rough country kits

And I suppose taht with the 2" level, I can go up to a 33x12.5 tire (I have 20" rims I'll be using), correct?

I prefer Ready Lift leveling kits, but I agree with acf6 in that a leveling kit is pretty dang simple and hard to screw up.

Shouldn't be a problem...

Are they stock 20" wheels or aftermarket? Unless you have a crazy offset, you should be fine with 33" tires.

I'm not calling you a liar, but those just don't look like 35's to me at all. The darkness of the wheel wells isn't helping the illusion though. Here is mine with 35's and the snowplow prep springs.

Thanks for the compliments on the wheels! I love them!

Rear's aren't the problem. Unless you go to a 4" lift, 37's won't work. I tried it They rub in the front BAD. It's not even close.

They are aftermarket. IIRC, the offset is 0, but I'll have to remeasure.

Do you have 35s on just a 2" level?

Not exactly...I have the snow plow prep package which has the stiffer springs. I think it is the equivalent of a 3" lift. Any higher and my fiver wouldn't sit right
