I have a HF pressure type blaster. It uses a simple ball valve and ceramic nozzle. I have replaced the valve and the hose with better quality ones. Have ran at least 2500 lbs of sand thru this thing, still works great. I really hate sandblasting though.......

I've spent a lot more hours behind a blaster than most on this board, I just hate doing it. I know that you get a lot better job but I'd rather farm this task this job out if I can.
I modified mt squeese type handle for the same reason. Tried replacing ruber block with a couple of nuts. Worked for a while, but eventually failed. Now I control it with the ball valve that is at the bottome of the tank,
Little inconveinent. I like the ball valve set up in the above pictures. That is much better then what I am using.
