Starting Project Tonka

So, after a month of reasearch I started turning bolts 4 days ago on the new project. It's going to be a 1986 f350 crew cab with 1st gen cummins non-intercooled turbo diesel. A Getrag 5 speed manual and a Ford married np205. Dana 60 high pinion king pins, sterling 10.25 rear(3.55).

Currently I have stripped and sold the dodge donor truck and reinvested the money in the drivetrain axles. The body has more rust and issues than anticipated so currently i'm seeking a new body with any other parts that are needed from fords. Tomarrow I'll drag out the chassis and finish removing all the hardware and reposition in shop.

Plans to incorporate:
I removed the 35 gal fuel tank from the dodge and plan to set it in place of the front tank on the truck, then plumb it directly to the motor. Then I'd like to install an electric pump in the side box of my utility box, Will be nice to have a diesel spray hose and 10 gallon tank.

Get an A/C compressor on the motor and make an onboard air system with a 10 gal tank undernearth the truck.

Run a PTO off the Trasfer Case to a 10ton tulsa winch on a bumper. Possibly get an automatic steering shaft and hook the linkage from the selector to pto selector, that'd be cool.

Use the Front/Rear fuel switch for outside lights/work lights

Build a Lumber rack with a sliding trolley capable of lifting and rolling 800lbs 5' out the back of the truck(for loading and unloading transmissions and welders. Ganna take a bit of engineering to figure this one out.

Just curious has anyone ever tried making side pipes with steps built in?
Keep you updated every so often.

Questions
What is the typical pressure for 5.9l cummins. The guage people said 30psi for cummins?

I'd like to get 350hp with this motor. Bone stock right know. I'm think of turning up the power screw, grinding the fuel pin with a curved semi aggressiveness, adjusting the smoke adjuster, installing a 3200rpm governor spring, Clocking the cam gear 1 tooth forward, Drilling holes into the air filter housing, and straight piping the exhaust. At this point what would you think the motor would eb producing hp/tor. So I'm woundering if i put an hx35 turbo with intercooler kit, banks dual ram intake, and 4" exhaust would this be enough?

Thanks for the input, Tony

UPDATE

So the Transfercase has been rebuilt, twin sticked by removing the interlock shafts while i was in the t-case, and has the PTO mounted. It also came with the clocking ring so that will make mounting and adapter to the transmission easier. It was wire brushed with a power wheel, then clear coated with enamel engine clear coat. Hopefully it'll keep the clean metal look and not rust up. The transmission is is the process of being finished right now. I lost a snap ring and will be replacing it tomarrow. As soon as this is done, I need to preload the bearings, clean the bearing reatainers, and paint the tranny(clear coat for clean metal look). The H1c holset turbo that was on the truckjust got finished being rebuilt yesterday. Black 2000oF paint on exhaust, 500oF paint clear paint on compressor housing. Tomarrow is the vacum pump and hopefully the injection pump will be done by this weekend. I'm finding that cleaning the parts really is the most time consuming part of the project. I advise getting a parts washer if you don't have one, it's worth the money. Weather has been pretty rainy so i've post poned painting the chassis, after the engine mounts and tranny mounts are made, I'll paint the chassis and drop the motor on. I did find another cab from a 91 f350 crew cab in nice condition, Going to see if I can aquire it for $100 or so. (can't figure out how to post pics, but will do asap. Tony
