Snow performance MPG Max kit?

Anyone running this kit on their X 7.3 diesel? What kind of settings are you running and what kinds of temps and results are you getting? What is giving you your best results?

Since this is specifically directed at the 7.3L PSD owners, I'm gonna move it on down to the 7.3L forum since your chances of getting a reply will increase exponentially in that forum.

$1000?!?!?!?!?

Are you freaking kidding me?!?!?!?

First of all, you can DIY this for A LOT less $.

Here's my write Up:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...ml#post8686846

You could DIY it all if you want, or go for a MUCH less technical solution.

In my opinion, the benefits of lower EGT's, possibly increased MPG ( I really didn't see much) and cleaner combustion chamber do not merit $1000.

I got mine for $750 with free shipping... You get electronic boost and pyro gauges wit all install hardware... I needed to buy these anyway and the combo I wanted with the gauge pillar was gonna cost me close to $500 anyway... Way I see it the kit cost me about $250 and I get a warranty, a cool three stage digital controller and lifetime tech support from an American company with all American made parts!!! MONEY WELL SPENT!

Ill get them and post later or tomorrow... Kirkharrod... What did your setup end up costing you? What percent of your parts were made in USA (I bet low %)? I'm just saying!

Im using a washer pump and an old fuel injector, So I have about $50 into mine, and everything but the tank and injector were made in the USA. I'm just saying!

I see a slight power increase under load with mine running. I don't track mileage so I don't know or care what happens there. I run WMO so I run the WI to keep the motor clean and prevent smoking, and it works awesome for that. After about 100 miles of running water the truck runs better than it ever has even when not injecting water, So a clean combustion chamber makes a big difference.

recommendations per snow performance

Snow performance recommends the following to get optimal results with your kit.

Figure out your PSI while cruising at your normal cruising speed on flat land, set the MPG injection start point @ 2 psi above your cruising PSI

Next figure out your PSI at 1/2 throttle Acceleration (he said this would be when maybe your getting on an on ramp onto the highway for example), set your MPG 100% injection or max at your determined 1/2 throttle PSI

Next figure out your PSI at full throttle, and set your PWR mode to begin at 75% of your figured Max boost

I plan to figure out my average PSI for these three over the next week and post my settings on here, anyone else who figures out their settings im curious what you get, of course this is going to be driver habit and vehicle dependent but it would be nice to know what someone else is doing.

Thanks
Rick

That is great also. Can you provide some info on your truck? Mileage, other mods, what your use is? Your altitude?
My choice on kits will be somewhere in between the ones mentioned. I don't need gauges, like the idea of some programming, would like a larger bottle (gallons) because I will use for towing long distances. I also just don't want to spend as much as some. Too many other things to get.
