I picked up an '05 F250 (V-10) last November. Well, we got a warm spell this week here in Colorado and I turned on the A/C to find that it wasn't blowing very cold.
When I popped the hood to take a look-see, I noticed that there is a very wet and green hose . It looks like it would go to the heater core - but - it looks like the hose goes to some sort of canister and then something leaves that canister and heads to the firewall (and I assume the heater core).
Does that sound right?
The hose that is wet & green - it has this metal fitting before going into the canister, not a typical rubber coolant hose. Does anyone have a part that I can fix? Can I just drain some coolant and replace the hose?
Your going to have to have someone that knows how to
working A/C systems have a look at it. Green piping usually
when it comes to A/C is from corrosion and you may find
that you have a leak that will need to be fixed and recharged.
