5th gear gone on replacement
1990 f-150 strait 6 (4.9) 2 wheel drive, 5sp mr5, Mazda tranny. Two weeks ago Monday I had the transmission strip all but 4th gear. Made it home and searched for a replacement. Nothing local but found one near Dallas Texas. They shipped it to me. Took the top cover off just to inspect the interior. Oh crap 5th gear is stripped right off! On my original Tranny this gear is fully intact. Is there anyway to rob peter to pay paul? Put 5th from my tranny into this one they sent me? I already talked to the salvage yard and they are going to pull and ship another Transmission Monday.
