What is this bracket for? Pic inside

Just bought this truck... having it shipped to me. Any idea what this bracket coming out of the dash was used for?

Looks like something for a cell phone, GPS or an engine monitoring device.

Don't remove it, mount your DP F-5 switch to it.

it is a VSM(vehicle specific mount) that attaches to the bolts behind the pocket.
It can be used for a cell phone holder or gps/sat radio

If you dont want it, I will take it!

My daughters Ex had the exact same mount in the same position. It was for some type of Iphone mount since we also found the cable for the Iphone.

Not sure but I like the idea of fastening something without popping holes in plastic dash.

Technically the hooks are for a trash sack, is how I believe it was advertised. Heard them referred to as "panty hooks" though, and liked that.
