Newbie here. Trying to patch up my 83 Flare side box. It has 1x6 boards previously covered with a diamond plate sheet. Did it originally have the metal strips and rabbited boards?
Does anybody have dimensions for the wooden spacer blocks that go between the frame and the box? I just can't see paying $100 for something easily made from skid lumber.
I'm going with the plain boards again, covered with a 1/8" sheet of stainless steel (scavenged more than ten years ago) sealed in silicone caulk.
Thanks!
I have one out of the front of the bed. The back is probably the same.
1-1/2 thick, 2-7/16 tall, 4-1/4 long.
I replaced mine with a pc of heavy round tubing.
