I am shocked by this news!! I just spoke to him on the phone 2 weeks ago tops and he was doing just fine, buying a house and move closer to his son not too far from Payson, AZ where he lived. He was in good spirits and I just can't believe it.
He has been a really good friend to me going back to when I first started to do my engine swap and build 2 years ago. He was always there when I had a question and helped me troubleshoot many problems I was having during the build throughout the past 2 years. He was extremely giving of his time and knowledge to me and the rest of us here on the forum. He was as sharp as a tack when it came to mechanical and electrical issues.
He was truly a friend and I miss him a lot already. It's just hard to believe.
RIP Robin.

A couple of weeks ago I sent him some photos of our truck yard and he responded that it looked like a harem for truck lovers. He always had those sorts of comments that would make me laugh. I know it's human nature to talk well of the departed even though they may not have been very exceptional but that isn't true with Robin. Those that knew him would agree he was far more than an average person.
Robin had an amazing way of making anyone who met him, feel like they've been his friend for years.
This really sucks.

It is nice and somewhat healing to read all the individual stories and look at the photos. A picture is worth a thousand words and the photos show that he loved having a hobby that he could share with others. The really sad part is thinking of all the future FTE brothers and sisters that won't ever get to know him like we did.
Keep the stories coming....
Does anyone have a photo of Robin when he was handed his time slip at RRE that one year he set low ET? I bet he was shocked. I remember he was hoping to pull at least 400 hp on the dyno. He sure overshot that goal by a little bit....I bet he was grinning all day long.
