Vaccum Modulator?
But where is the vaccum modulator for the transmission located on my 78 Bronco? I have a C6 that seems to not want to shift on its own anymore, the only way I can get it to shift is by doing so manually through 1st and 2nd gear.
I talked to a transmission shop and they told me to check the vaccum modulator, to make sure I had vaccum preasure. My Bronco has a 429 in it, this wouldnt change the location of the modulator would it? Anyways, I need all the help I can get, I dont have money to drop it off at a shop, so i need to try to hammer this problem out on my own.
Thanks,
Jason
I got this problem solved. Apparently there was a little rubber hose connecting the modulator to the metal vaccum line. This hose was way to short and had come undone. So I am off to the parts store to get new vaccum line and hopefully this will solve all problems. Cant complain about a 50 cent part fixing the problem over an entire tranny overhaul.
