It is my understanding that the 65-66 brackets are different then the 67-68's Bill and I will be addressing this situation in the near future.
I will be doing a side by side comparison of both brackets. I have a set of each but I can't get to the 68 brackets until this weekend.
Stay tuned to this channel for updates on the two different brackets.

I may be suffering from a mental block and request some clarification ... you're referring to brackets for 65-66 seat tracks versus brackets for 67-68 seat tracks, right?
I own both a 65 and a 68 Mustang and have never noticed any difference btwn the two. I'm staying tuned in to see how this episode ends.... Thanks.
I think brackets and tracks are being confused haha. The BRACKETS being what the TRACK/SLIDERS bolt to. My question is since I need different mounting brackets since its going in the f100..if I will need to change SLIDERS or if the sliders are the same. I don't mean to sound like in talking like anybody is stupid. Just trying to clarify any confusion.

Yes, the brackets are what I'm referring to. When I do the side by side comparison I should have a definitive answer. We'll see.

I believe HIO and I are talking brackets. According to what NumberDummy wrote "The same bucket seats/upholstery (but not the seat tracks) were used in 1967/77 Bronco's.
it would appear that the tracks are different. By how much, dunno. I'll see if NumberDummy can shed some light on this.
If it helps I had a 78 Bronco with buckets I had bolted on the brackets a set of 71 Mustang seats and a set of 77 Mustang seats the 77 seats where nice and comfortable so maybe if original looks arent important a set of newer seats would bolt on.
I haven't done the for yet as I have to get the seats this weekend. I was just curious if the tracks(sliders) I pull with the seats will bolt to those same brackets I should be getting.
Bill may be referencing the fact that Bronco seats had a set up so that they could tip forward on the tracks to allow people access to the back seat. Just my $0.02 worth.
Well, with such continued success of the car there were constant running changes. My 65 is a cross-over and originally had some early 65 items like the carpet and hood bumpers. The carpet stopped at the rocker and the vertical face of the rocker was glued-on vinyl. Ford used existing stock until it was depleted and then continued with the "new" parts.
I have an early 68 that apparently got caught on the assembly line during a UAW strike that ended with higher labor costs. As a cost cutting measure, Ford removed a number of standard trim pieces including the interior A-pillar trim and padded dash trim that ran above the radio and glove compartment. My dash's knee pads were deleted but the pillar pads remained. The rear quarters also have a depressed marker light whereas those built after Feb 15, 1968 got flat quarters fitted with surface-mounted markers sourced from the Cougar. Then in mid-68 (June or so) the 289 was replaced by the 302.... see, lots of running changes.
67 Bumps are unique unto themselves in many respects and prolly have some relation to that UAW strike too.
