I have a 2004 ford f-250 powerstroke 6.0. Three weeks ago it started getting hard to start. I started plugging it up at night. It would start easily in the mornings after doing so. Wednesday I drove it to work and when I got ready to leave in the afternoon it would not start. I plugged it up for a few hours a still nothing. I unplugged the ICP sensor and still want start. The FICM reads 47.6 with key on. When the motor turns over the reading is 11.5. Since the motor never starts is this an good reading? Where do I need to start at.
No that FICM voltage should stay around 48 at all times, from key on, cranking, idling and wide open throttle. Sounds like its time to pull your FICM and send it to Ed at FICMrepair.com . Also take your batteries and have them load tested separately ( completely disconnected from one another) and if you find one bad battery replace them both.
