Turn signals blinking way too fast, then stopped working

As the title says, my turn signals have been acting really weird recently. They'll blink 2-3x normal, and sometimes they'll just slow down and slow down, and then speed right back up to that really fast speed.

But then just today, they stopped working completely. No flasher icon, no lights, nothing. My emergency flashers still work fine, and none of my bulbs are burnt out

I haven't done any recent modifications. Don't have LED bulbs, just the normal stock lights. Only change has been that it's been really cold this winter (0-15 F or so)

Any ideas?

Yeah the bulbs are fine, and as far as I can tell there is no turn signal fuse

How do I check the flasher? Where is it located?

And there WILL be a fuse, every circuit in the truck is protected by a fuse, breaker, or a fuse link.. The turn signal circuit IS a fuse, it will probably protect other circuits as well...

The flasher is on the fuse panel under the dash.

I was checking the users manual and can't find anything about a flasher, so I'm not sure which would belong to the flasher

Well, if the cab is set up anything like my '96 F-150 there should be a panel, about knee level on the drivers side. Remove that panel (it has a hand hold on it) and towards the upper right you should see a silver cylinder ohhh about two inches in diameter and about half an inch tall. That's the turn signal fuse.

Awesome, I know the exact one you're talking about. I just realized I locked myself out of my truck, but once I manage to break back into it, is there any way to check it to see if it's good? Or do I just have to replace it to find out?

New one it's probably a HD12 flasher unit. It's a 2 prong unit

Like Puddy said replacing it is the easiest way to go about it. Mine did the same thing about a year ago.

You can swap the blinker flasher out with the 4 way flasher. the 4 way flasher is in the same location but on the BACK of the fuse panel
