I need new weather strip for my driver door on my 2002 escape. I found someone selling one for a 2002 Tribute and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if they are the same.

Yes. Go check ford-trucks sponsors for the part numbers, or ebay. They both came down the same assembly line. If you need the door jamb, or 'body' weatherstrip, they are not cheap.

Which piece did you get for $35? I was looking at the body-mounted piece. Someone apparently got the seatbelt caught in the door, and pulled it free, ripping the strip near the latch. Not too bad, but bits flop in the breeze.
