A turn of events huh? Live and learn; I guess next time one of us should mention that the problem could've been the MAF sensor.

Not sure if sarcasm was included in your response, but for what it's worth, you were correct from the beginning. I attempted to give you reputation for the help, but apparently I have not given reps to anyone besides yourse since the last time I issued reps. Up until the point I received the bill, I was under the impression the MAF was only cleaned and not replaced. Once I learned the item was replaced with a non-standard part, everything clicked. I will add that I held off from ordering the replacement MAF until you indicated, in your best judgement, that it was the culprit. It's not that I don't want to believe people, it's wanting to be absolutely sure I have ruled everything else out before forking out more money.
