Doesn't seem to be a bad system but by the time I have to add the cold weather option too it a little too pricy for most of my customers

from what it looks like to me is that the oem filter/housing will stay in the current location. From the look of the hoses and evap coil that goes with it, i am thinking the coolant will not be the only thing cooling the oil...so a liquid to liquid to air heat exchanger...only a guess from looking at pictures

I don't think that new cooler design uses the factory oil cooler and uses transfer slots to direct the oil into the oil lines to the external cooler.

zoom in and have a look at the billet ports where the oil cooler would normally poke thru the oem cover. It looks like, and again i am guessing here, but the the oil will not only be cooled by coolant but also by air. No?

Isn't that where the new hose fittings bolt on? You're talking the two ports at the rear of the cover inline with the EGR coolant outlet right?

It could go either way I suppose, but the kit shows all the parts and gaskets, even an OEM filter, but no OEM oil cooler in that kit.

im thinking you might have to reuse/replace your own cover and oil cooler might be an option

Definately have to reuse the oil filter base.

You know what would make a good cooler is to adapt the EGR cooler into an oil cooler. It would be similar to the 7.3 diesel then, especially the early style cooler or the BPD cooler.

When you look at the 6.0 EGR cooler...

Then look at the 7.3 oil cooler...

I see possiblities...
