Warm weather starting problem
I had, now my dad has, a 1993 F150 4x4 with 5 speed manual tranny and the 300 I6. In warm weather, the first time you start the engine, it will sputter some, idle real rough for a second or so and then die. You restart immediately and it will rev for a second and then settle down to a normal idle. It does not do this in cold weather, only warm. If you touch the gas pedal quick enough while it is idling rough, it will catch and run. It has new plugs, wires, air filter, breather element, pcv valve, fuel filter. Any ideas what this might be? Usually after the truck has been started, it is fine the rest of the day.

Warm weather starting problem
When mine did that recently, it turned out to be the fuel pump so get a fuel pressure gauge and check it. Also, pull the codes and test the IAC & TPS according to the instructions in the Haynes manual.
