You are right as it is all about appearance. With the younger generations: They have "credit" burning a hole in their pockets.
Mega dittos. Most of them come out of high school and can't read a ruler or change a tire, but are constantly and catatonically staring into their cell/dumb phones! A sorry and ominous state of affairs for this once great country.
Meh, don't mind much, the competition is doing the same everywhere, catatonic cell-phone staring that is. I dislike seeing any truck ridiculously lowered or lifted, to me function comes before anything else. but, as someone else stated: it's their money, their trucks and their time. As long as they don't become dangerous then I'm fine, anyway, the flavor is in the variety, and it's nice seeing different brands and customized vehicles in the streets.
I personally think it's crazy. I hang out on the 48-56 forum mostly. If you think it's bad with these trucks, it's heartbreaking to see a guy slam an antique on the ground, especially an unmolested stock truck.
I agree doc...but also disagree to because I understand the point of restoring but at the same time im personally working on a 69 ranger and im going to put it on a F250 4x4 frame...granted its bout the only option cause the driveline and frame r in really bad shape. Worst I ever saw was a 73 F100 with 36in wheels and tire was bout 3 inches tall. Talk about completely ****ing up a truck.
