Most clevelands have the same bell housing pattern as the 302/351windsors but I think there were a few with the 351m/400 429/460 pattern. I don't think there were any with the FE pattern.

I've heard of a 400 with a Cleveland B.H. bolt pattern but never a Cleveland with a 400 bolt pattern.

There are some Clevelands with the 335/385 bellhousing pattern.

The "335" bellhousing bolt pattern is 2 different patterns. 351 Clevelands have the same bolt pattern as the "W" series motors. Some 400s had that bolt pattern. All 351Ms and the vast majority of 400s had the 385 (429/460) series bolt pattern. Like I said, I've never seen or heard of a 351 Cleveland with the 385 series bolt pattern. If you know of one I'd love to hear about it.

Early 289's (I think up to '66) had a 5 bolt bellhousing. Watch out for that if you are going to do transmission swapping. All 302's, 351W's and 351C's have the same pattern, if there is an oddball it's so uncommon you won't need to worry about it.

FE's are kinda round. You can look at them and tell they won't fit.
