6.0 no start

hi guys hope you can help me again
have 05 E350 6.0 Work truck it was working fine all day
stopped for 5 min when it was restarted had slight hessitation for a few seconds but cleared up. drove truck another 10 min no problem. truck was turned off 10 min later no start. truck is now in my garage .
so far fuel filtes ok 5000 km and clean
air filter ok
no codes
ficm reading 47.5 - 48 on scangage
65 psi fuel (installed Blue Spring Last year)
unhooked bateries and dissasembled to get to HPOP
Suspect hpo leak
install air fitting on top of HPOP and can hear air
remove cover to HPOP air is coming from back of pump
stc fittig seems ok
test using stetiscope $6 from drugstore, remove end and use small plastic hose as to extend. air leaks or exhast leaks realy show up
close IPR valve with 12 v but there is still some air coming from releif port i suspect IPR is bad also some small metal filings on IPR screen
and small tear
with the IPR closed (almost) i don't hear any other air leaks
didnot pull valve covers yet ,real PITA
is there any other test i should be doing before replacing IPR and
reassembly

thanks ror any and all help

Air test should point you in the right direction. Has the HPOP been replaced? You said you heard air coming from the HPOP, but then said you thought it was the IPR. A little confused. There should be no air coming from anywhere when you apply voltage to the IPR valve.

you can either try to clean ipr with break clean and install new screen or replace the ipr. you have to fix that first and retest it sorry

thanks for the replies

the air was comming form the port above the HPOP shaft
when i closed the IPR (12 volts ) the air almost stoped but i could still hear some ( maybe 10 %) i also listened to the stand pipes through the openings in the side of the HPOP well No air

I installed new IPR and just have to reinstall Turbo to see if it works

let you know how i makr out later

might be a long night

There your Sign^^^^^

But there could be More to this

Could your HPOP be coming apart

there is a SCreen under the Oil Cooler have you ever changed it

I Would be HIGHLY Concerned about sending Metal to 8 Injectors
