Fuel in the bowl and back filled down to the pump, had to open up the main butterflies, and she fired right up!
Damn, there is nothing that sounds better than a Big Block! Supposed to be my son's truck - just turned 16. ****, I want it now. I don't give a rats *** if there are rust holes, no tailgate, some lights don't work. That 390/335 HP sounds great. The primaries and secondaries pull off correct. The 1406 Edelbrock works well for this setup. I may go back and tap out a 3/8" hole in the upper bowl area for a vent, to hook up EVAP again. But then again, screw it.
Needs a donut gasket on the right side - gonna get Easy Muffler to fix that and relocate the left exhaust pipe away from the tranny just a little.
Needs the floor pan on drivers side filled in w/good sheet metal.
Needs a new modulator valve for the C6 - it wanders sometimes when shifting.
I know the feeling quite well since I just encountered this maybe 3 hrs ago. Except, mine is a 351/400, longtubes with leaking donut gasket, heads, cam, and a nice 750 eldy with a 1in carb spacer. The fuel tank had bad gas/water and the inline filter was clogged to hell. It ran, but really really rough. After about 2 hrs cleaning and fiddling with the carb, got her to run like a champ. OOOOOO that sound.
