Re: 1989 F150 - No fuel flow. Anyone able to give me more info on this situation. Like, are the pump(s) for this vehicle inside of each of the tanks or is it an external frame mounted single pump type ? If external, where does the supply v. come from ? Is it a constant 12v. from the pump relay under the hood ? Is the relay tripped from the key switch being turned on, or is power supplied to it from the e.c.m. ? Also, between the tanks and the motor in the fuel line run is what I describe as some sort of junction unit with 4 fuel lines running to it. I tryed tracing the lines but doesn't make sense. Is this used for switching between duel tanks or something else ? Any advice offered will be greatly appreciated.

f150 missing fuel
had the same problem last nite ,was driving and f150 1989,5.0l with 4+overdrive just dyed looked for 3hours ,had no gas flow,found a broken wire going into the pump relay ,fixed the wire and it started ,put a new end on the wire this afternoon + a little bit of white grease on the end ,inserted the wire back into the relay switch,hope this helps.cheech
