No F350 came from the factory with any such thing, as you are describing Power Assist P/S / All 1969/79 (and later) F350's came with Ford integral P/S.
Are you sure this is an F350? The VIN will begin with F35 or F37.
If this is an F350, does it have 4WD? If so, someone used parts from an F250 4WD aka High Boy to convert it to 4WD. Or it's a Marmon-Herrington or NAPCO conversion. 1979: First year for F350's with 4WD.
Power Assist: Two long P/S hoses, pressure and return, route from the pump to the control valve. Two short P/S hoses, pressure & return, route from the control valve to the hydraulic ram cylinder.
The manual steering gearbox is used, as it has nothing to do with Power Assist P/S.
Garrison Power Assist P/S: 1973/75 F100 4WD / 1973/74 F250 4WD before serial number T80,001 / 1975 F150 4WD.
Bendix Power Assist P/S: 1974 F250 4WD from serial number T80,001 / 1975/76 F250 4WD / 1977 F250 4WD before serial number Y20,001.
the truck maybe a 250, the front end was wrecked and one side says 250 the other says 350, the truck is at the other shop and I don't have the vin on hand, it is crew cab short bed if that helps at all, I will get the vin tomorrow though
