Dash Bezel before and after

I know that a lot of you have done much better work, but this was still a dramatic improvement.

wht year is your truck out of, i would like to find a similar bezel to fit my CD player... the previous owner hacked mine up pretty badly. i dont need the woodgran finish, my truck is just a custom....

The bezel is from my 85 XLT Lariat. I may have cut the opening out wider a few years ago though when I installed my head unit. I can't remember for sure but the edges are a little jagged like I may have done some work on it.

Looks good, Luke. Those Burledwood panels didn't do very well, turning purple pretty quickly, so painting them improves them dramatically.

I like the wood grain panels. I need to see if I can find some to go in my truck, then re-paint all my interior pieces the correct way.

Did all the 85 and 86 radio bezels come with the DIN radio tray? Or just a few? The PO hacked out my 83 bezel to fit an aftermarket JVC radio.

my 81, 80, 82, and 84 all had dual post. i'd like to find a DIN that was the standard black color, non woodgrain.

I used to have a dang nice set of woodgrains for my 82, but i think they were in the fire..

My factory deck was 2 post am/fm. If you buy a install kit for about $20. There is a trim piece that fits a din deck nicely.

ive used the install kit before, i was just looking for a trim panel i didnt have to cut. mine was already cut up badly, i was looking for a better way, hats all.

Think i see what your sayin. Yours had 1 hole for each **** and dial face. Mine has 1 big opening for both ***** and face. About 1 1/2 din tall.

1985-1986 has the "din style" opening...

1980-1984 has **** and shaft style mounting and holes.

I used Rustoleum wheel paint. It is for plastic or metal and is very similar to Krylon Fusion. It goes on smooth, then as it dries it gets some texture to it, and it is completely dry in about 5 minutes.
