So I've been spending the last couple weeks moving out of my house that just sold. A few days ago the Ex started having a rough idle and a little sputter under load but would not throw a code. Finally got done moving and took it to the dealer. It didn't take long and I got a call that they found they problem. Apparently the #7 plug had backed itself out and damaged the coil. I just wish the damn thing would have thrown a code so I wouldn't have had to hand out $100!
It could have completely spit out destroying the COP and the threads in the head. Then it would have been a much bigger problem. Glad to hear it wasn't a huge issue!
I had it scanned at a shop and they told me there was nothing; pending or active. Unfortunately for me this caught me right in the middle of a move and all my tools are boxed up for storage. Had to bite the bullet and have the dealer change the plug and coil.
