my e4od problem
Any help with this will be appreciated my 91 f-250 5.0 e40d 4x2 208 k miles just started having this problem .
when 1st starting out or when taking off from a stop it doesn't have 1st gear to pull out you must pull it into low then shift manually but it seem to go to third gear the trans was rebuilt about three tears ago and the fluid is clean it does have two codes one for trans temp sensor and one for od cancel switch it will down shift to passing gear but not low

my e4od problem
Could it be the switch on the shifter linkage at the tranny? My Windstar quit shifting intermittantly and it was this switch. It tells the computer what gear you are in.
