Good day all,
I have a 6.9 I.H. (1984 f-250) engine, it has a factory oil pressure sender located at the rear top of the block. I would like to keep this
as stock but also add an after market unit. Previous owner had 2 senders as well but he stacked them and they eventually sheared off at the block (nasty).
My Question: does any body know of a viable alternate location for the after market sending unit?

I bet this was discussed in detail about half a dozen times in the past 2 months...
There are two plugged ports right above the oil cooler on the drivers side. There are others also. As a general rule I have found that plugs on the block are oil plugs and plugs on the heads are water plugs, but this has not been discussed previously, to my knowledge.

Sounds like that has been tried once John. I wouldn't like that set up myself, There are too many other ports to use to need to do that. I'd find another location.
