Am I correct in thinking I should remove the sway bar. I want to be able to get around in the woods and have good snow plowing time not getting stuck because one wheel is way down in a hole and the other one is trying to go there.....Whats it for anyhow ??Heavy towing?? The truck would prob take dirt road bumps alot better huh??
You talking about the front or rear sway bar? I assume you mean the rear one. I have actually been considering adding one to my F250 to make it handle better on the road.
I wouldn't think it would greatly detract from off-road performance and it really shouldn't present a major clearance issue, but I could be wrong...
Why do you say that? A vehicle that is so heavely sprung never benefits from a sway bar unless its loaded down. Any way who goes nuts around corners in an f350. Thats my feelings on the issue.

you can get sway bar disconnects so that when you went out into the woods you could disconnect it, but while you are in the city you could put the pin back in and have the stock ride. best of both worlds!
My brother accidentally ripped it off my old C30 last year and it handled like a sled until I could get it replaced. And I'm no Parnelli Jones in that beast...
I would be really concerned in a panic stop or evasive maneuver in traffic more than whether or not it cornered like a Ferrari.
I have to admit my off-road ignorance, most of my offroading occurs at construction sites and I haven't had a whole lot of problems getting around them with the stock configuration.
Maybe "stroker's" idea would make some sense for you.
If you find you don't like the way it handles you can always put it back on in 5 minutes. I don't have one on mine and I don't notice much if any difference.
