Any of you MO guys know of any 78-79 F250 4x4's around? I don't care if it runs, but it would be nice. Trying to keep it under $2000 and Craigslist isn't much help lately.
Really, gotta go and show me up by finding them close to me, LOL. I've been going city to city searching back as far as 5 pages looking with little luck (I never found those that you showed). Now that Searchtempest sucks, I can't rely on it either.
Just go to regular Craigslist site, cities "Missouri", pick Kansas City ect....under the "all for sale", and put 1979 ford, then 1978 ford ect... in the search box.
Open this link, and save it to your favorites and there you go. You can search Ok, Ks, Iowa ect...i never use search tempest anymore since they changed it around.
Thanks for those, but it's gotta be f250. My goal is to rape the axles/drivetrain from it for my Scab, then part out/scrap whats left. If it is running, I'll drive it till the day I'm ready to fire up the Scab.
I never see the axles for sale, and considering dana 60's go for 1000/front, and you can usually buy a whole truck for less than double that, I think it'll work out better. I'm watching for anything though,, all options are on the table. I found a 250 with 60's for under 2000, but it's quite a ways away and the shipping will probably kill me.
How do you think "Project overwhelmation" came to be? lol
My son is starting to develop symptoms of it too. He just bought an 86 3/4 ton bowtie and 85 or 86 Yamaha Tri-Z 250 two stroke. We haven't finished his two wheel drive yet. I hoped he'd learned from my mistakes. Must be a genetic illness that started with me in my family.
