My 05 F350 is in need of at least 1 injector, and if I do 1, I'll do them all, so I've been looking online for "new" injectors, however I've seen sites that offer new injectors and then seen sites that state there really are no new injectors, just rebuilt. Whats the "real" truth on this, I'd rather spend a resonable amount more on "new" injectors then rebuilt. Seeing a new truck is $55000.00 and up, I would rather spend some money on the one I have(has I don't believe I own the truck companies anything(hope I didn't offend anybody there) My truck is nearly brand new 2005 F350 SC with only 270000 km(nearly new for a diesel that is) So can I really get "new" injectors??
Thanks
Brand new 6.0l injectors aren't being manufactured anymore. If you were to go get one from the dealer, it would be rebuilt. Compared to the way some of the older style were built when new, the rebuilts now are better.
Do them all because they are a family and if one is failing the others could be pulled down on that bank. Im currently doing all 8 on my 06 because number 5 failed causing 1, 3, and 7 to drop. Got mine from industrial injection
Why do you want to replace all 8 injectors when you only have 1 giving issues?
Because when I close it up, I don't want to have to open it up in a few weeks or for the rest of this year. If I can't be sure that all the injectors are "good" then I'll do them all. In my view its kinda like spark plugs or brake pads/shoes, I want them all in good shape.
I'm getting tired of fixing one thing and then needing to have something else repaired a month later.
Just do all 8 once one goes the rest on that side are close to failing because of the bad one and the other four on the other side have scene the same amount of miles and everything else

were ever you got the information its completly incorrect. and at a going rate of $220/ea or better it adds up quick

I am with Mister CMK and Cheezit, If I only had 1 bad injector I would just do the one, but if it makes you feel better and you have the money you don't mind spending then I would go with OEM reman's as they have the most stringent quality requirements when they are rebuilt, all tolerances match that of the new injectors and if im not mistaken the only thing that gets reused on them is the body of the injector all moving parts and coils are replaced with new components.
And if you are concerned with the longevity of your injectors you need to have your fuel pressure tested and as a preventative measure install the upgraded blue spring to the fuel pressure regulator.
At 270k km (168k miles) you should still have good life left in the injectors if they have not seen low pressure or filter bypassing or poor oil change practices. IMO, people should expect 220 - 250k miles from their injectors.
